VOCAL TECHNIQUE I - Vocal (Re)Discovery
This 4-week series is designed as a re-boot/re-discovery of the physical instrument for the singer who needs a refresher; it also serves as an introductory discovery for the singer-to-be who are just beginning the discipline of singing and perhaps want an introduction in a group setting.
Work during this series includes acquaintance with physical support and alignment, breath work, balancing and discovering resonance, vocal health and vocal issues, differences between legit and belt for theatre singers, technical and physical expectations of different genres of singing. Each session is 1.5 hours.
VOCAL TECHNIQUE 2 - Vocal Integration
This 4-week series is a continuation of VTI and is also designed for singers who are working on the technical behavior of a song. This is NOT a performance class, but rather, a "how-to" in building a song into the athleticism of the voice and the body - using breath, support, phrasing, physical balance and alignment, resonance, use of language and the like. Each session is 2 hours.
